The Julia C. Hester House is a historic Houston institution dedicated to serving the community, with a special focus on promoting wellness and healthy living for people of all ages. Their fitness programs are designed to encourage an active lifestyle, improve overall well-being, and strengthen community ties.

In October 2014, the Hester House Wellness Center officially opened its doors, providing the neighborhood with a modern facility of over 24,000 square feet. The center includes a state-of-the-art weight room, spacious locker rooms, a full basketball court with 300-seat bleachers, and a five-lane, 25-meter pool—offering resources that meet both recreational and competitive needs.

With this combination of advanced facilities, expert knowledge, passion, and innovative programming, it was clear that the brand identity needed to reflect their true mission. The solution was to merge text with the symbolic image of a house, creating a visual identity that not only communicates health and vitality but also reinforces the sense of home, community, and belonging that the Hester House represents.
